Avatar f tn I usually stop situps and hard ab workouts at the 2nd semester. You want those muscles strong, but not inflamed. Light plank holds and exercise ball workouts are good. Plus I find its really easy to oull an ab with all the relaxin and round ligament pain. Let you abs relax drink something with some sugar and see if he gets moving around again.

Avatar n tn Starting from arm workouts (using 5lb weights and resistance bands) then followed by workouts that can be done at home later. (Squats, dips, etcetera ). I was not every active pre pregnancy but I would like to keep my body tight. Will this do any harm to my unborn? Thanks.
Avatar n tn t do any impact stuff like hitting the bags. But most of the women at the dojo who had babies say that ab work outs help with delivery. One think to point out is that I've been doing this for two years so I've decreased from when I normally do.
Avatar m tn For a ab work out you can go to a trainer or just search on YouTube. Studies show that the best results for your toning is by changing the routine of your workout, so do a different ab video,everyday! Also for some people every other day of working out shows better results. That's up to you! For a diet there are certain foods like pine apple that supposedly take away blotting in the stomach. Avatar f tn Same situation as you! Don't listen to all this dieting crap. There are se fab ab workouts on YouTube or just make up some of your own! Cut out lots of sugar but don't deprive youself! On demand also has some workouts you'll love.
10165853 tn?1456333837 But im 9 weeks almpst and i still hit the gym, walk, hike, hiking is my favorite. I also work out at home since i have 2 kids i cant always go out to do it. I actually downloaded a pregnancy work out app for free and it has 20 minute workouts for 1st 2nd and 3rd trimester.

Avatar n tn When I did crunches I always put my fingertips behind my ears without any pressure. Your abs should be the only thing working your body during an ab routine. So definitely try again but maybe try a more recent workout. There's a GREAT ab workout routine at s park p eople (no spaces) and the trainer will talk to you about how to do them without straining your neck. Good luck!
Avatar f tn ve done tons of research about stomach fat and the best way to burn it is by a balanced diet and by drinking a lot of water and engaging in both cardio and strength training, but is there anything else? i workout usually everyday, at the least 5 times a week, very rarely 4. I eat quite heathy, taking in a lot of fruits and vegetables and trying to watch my serving sizes and portions.
Avatar f tn That's not true. If you look at pregnancy workouts they always do that stretch in the beginning of workouts haha. I workout everyday and all I know I can't do is on my back abs.

It consists of a mix of cadio strength training and ab workout for a 20minute non stop work out. Do you all think it is safe to continue ?? Am I being paranoid?? Avatar f tn ll need to avoid is too much ab workouts, like push ups, weight lifting; and as you get bigger, listen to your body and stop when you need to. No need to push yourself.

Avatar f tn As for abs, you should find workouts that target your core! You can do so by searching ab workouts online, YouTube is full of great videos (I really like blogilates, livestrong woman, Tara stiles) or even finding apps ( I like nike training club because they have 15 minute focus workouts ! I especially like these methods because they're free and fun. I encourage you to calculate your BMI (body mass index) , make a healthy/realistic weight loss goal and go from there.
Avatar f tn Hello! All of the above is great advice that works well. Plus I've found that every work out if you add a small amount of ab workouts it helps a lot. Just a few slow crunches, planks and some pushups (even if they are from the knees). I have lost 3 inches of my stomach by restricting my diet like mentioned above and also adding the ab workouts. I find it complements the rest of your workout by sort of tightening everything up as you go. It has definitely sped things up for me. Good luck!
Avatar n tn Hi! I am on a diet at the moment because I want to lose just under a stone. I weigh 7.2 stone and am 5 ft 4". I exercise all day everyday by running, walking, ab workouts, cardio, aerobics and dance. However every time I lose a lot of weight, I gain it back on through eating carbs and calories. So, I decided to work off more calories than I actually eat. However, this makes me weaker so I need some alternatives that have basically no calories but are still substantial.
Avatar f tn I had a c-section but when I hit my 6week healing mark I ran everyday for 6 weeks straight but around 4 week post baby I started doing ab workouts. I snapped back to my pre pregnancy size 12 weeks post baby. I also ate really healthy to help me get back there.
