vagina

the one thing i don't get though is that i have a lot of unwanted vaginal discharge. sometimes it gets really thick and creamy and sometimes it kinda looks like cottage cheese. from a force of habit i barely ever use the bathroom to go urinate. i always hold in my pee, so i thought that maybe that's why i have all this unwanted discharge. but even when i did use it regularly i still had it thick and creamy or cottage cheese like. and sometimes it had a sour smell or a fishy smell.
to protect the birth canal from infection and maintain a healthy balance of bacteria in the vagina.
So off and on i have been having clear to yellowish vaginal discharge. It sometimes is oderless but sometimes has a fishy smell. Im not sure if its strong or mild oder because i have never had this before to compare it to. Is this normal? Im going to ask the dr about it on thursday. See if i need to be tested for infections. No burning or itchiness is present. Also have frequent urination, but not going a lot. Is baby on a nerve causing the urgency?
But I'm just wondering is this normal to always have some kind of discharge??? And also I've been reading on this and what is a normal smell vaginal smell?? I don't have a nasty oder but I'm just curious what is a normal smell.

Last month I had my normal period, but this month instead of my period I have a brown discharge with very minimal menstrual bleeding? Its been a week now? There is not a whole lot of brown discharge. I'm a lesbian so I know I'm not pregnant. A day or two before I had intercourse and bled a little. There is no odor, no burning or itching, no stomach pains or cramps? Could this be the beginnings of a yeast infection or is this just old blood flushing its way out?
Ive had lots of discharge. Its always a lot of white and clear discharge but sometimes there's light green discharge that looks like boogers. I haven't had sex for a almost two months but ive had it before that. What could this be? Im scared to go to the doctor?
it is almost always white with no extreme odor, but i have vaginal discharge all the time and its always quite a lot. Is this okay or is there something wrong?(i have never had sex).
It could be BV again. A lot of times BV recurs after treatment. I once got treated for it with Flagyl and my doctor gave me a refill with the prescription because of the probability that it would recur. Just call your doc and ask what you should do. Good luck!!
Hey everyone. I'm 33 weeks and having a lot of vaginal discharge. Is this normal in this stage??
Hi, I was wondering I have a lot of discharge, it's not fishy as I have had a BV infection and it's not, it does have quite a strong smell and it embarrasing... Is there anything I can do, should I do a swab???
But I have this fear that I'm pregnant, I'm almost sure of it and I've been having a lot of whit vaginal discharge, more than normal.
I had one that did have a foul smell and alot of discharge, more then usual and I was diagnosed with a bacterial infection. Dr. said it had nothing to do with sex, just that the ph in the vagina was off. I was put on a cream for about a week to 10 days and it cleared up. I wouldn't wait too long to go see your obgyn. better taken care of sooner then later.
For the past few months EVERY month I suppose around ovulation, for 2-3 days I have white vaginal discharge, its irritating not to the point that it itches like a yeast infection but there is a lot of it, and it does get a little uncomfortable down there... It has been happening for months, comes for a few days, goes away.... I have had yeast infections before, and I just dont think this is one, since it happens on a monthly basis around the same time....
My vagina is red, extremely tender and sometimes the lip of the vulva itches. The amount of discharge I am getting is so much that I need to wear a pad and change it every hour just to keep it from dripping into clothes. I have a decent diet, I do not get excersize a lot because I have knee issue. I am overweight. I don't bathe often, but I shower every day with soap. I really don't know what to do about this, its become annoying.
I get brown discharge a week before my periods and sometimes there is blood in the discharge what could be the problem?
Since my last period, I have not had any spotting and little to no vaginal discharge. Today I noticed a lot, like a good size creamy white puddle in my underwear. Again, I apologize for the tmi. Does anyone know if this is normal? I thought maybe it was a result of all the hormonal changes or something... Any words of advice?
Hi all, I'm 19 years old. I've been dealing a lot with vaginal discharge since about the age of 12. I know it's normal and everything, but mine is horrible. I get a batch of discharge about every day (3-4 times a day-- roughly). It comes in huge clumps, sometimes it's all batched together, sometimes it's slimly and thick. Sometimes it's smelly and itchy. Either way, it's really bothering me. I feel as though some days, I have to wear a light tampon and most days I wear a liner.
I went to see my doctor and he has given me pills and this vagina jell that you insert into ur vagina and I think it has worked a little, but I am still getting a lot of discharge making my knickers very wet and it still smells a bit, but it's not so strong, but still smells and I want it to be sorted out as people can smell it at school and its embarrsing!! I don't get the discharge if I wearing loose clothing, only tight. I have had the problem for about 4 months and so won't it to stop!!
with google and you'll find a lot about it.) I think I would only be concerned if something changed a lot, such as a really, really strong odor. Mild odor can just be because of the interaction of sweat or urine and the natural secretions once they are out of the body.
-What you're noticing is probably normal leukorrhea – the odorless or mild-smelling milky discharge that you may have noticed in your underwear before you were pregnant. There's just a lot more of it now, partly because of increased estrogen production and greater blood flow to the vaginal area. This discharge is made up of secretions from the cervix and vagina, old cells from the walls of the vagina, and normal bacterial flora from the vagina.
So heres the story I went to my GYNO in the beginning of ( I believe it was the 4th of June) to get a pap smear she told me recently she had checked for STDs (making it seem like she checked for all and that I was negative on them) A few days after that I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend once, and after that we have been having protected vaginal sex, and I will continue to do so.
Hi! I'm 45 now, but a few years ago I was running into the same problem as yourself. I was having alot of discharge during the day where I had to resort to wearing a pad. i went to my gyno back then and I had a BV infection. He said it was not caused by sex, just an imbalance in the vagina. I was treated for this imbalance for quite a few months. It would always tend to happen right after ovulation which would tend to throw my levels out of whack.
I know when I get on the pill my discharge also gets a lot thicker, due to the hormones. So it could just be a change of your hormones. I know I got tested for many a YI, but I never ended up having one!
