Common Questions and Answers about 60 mg cymbalta weight loss

cymbalta

Avatar m tn I lowered to 60 mg a day for a few days, (I ran out of Cymbalta) then started 20 mg per Dr. prescription on Celexa. I am definitely suffering withdrawal from Cymbalta. What dose should I be taking of Celexa to help avoid withdrawal? If both meds are SSRI, then why is withdrawal so bad?
Avatar n tn I started off on 30mg for 6 weeks and my weight fluctuated up and down about 3 pounds. I was feeling better but felt I needed to go up to 60 mg. I instantly had sever diarrhea, 10x day! This went on for 10 days and I read on a blog to try prilosec, which stopped the diarrhea. While I had the diarrhea I also had a loss of appetite and was not eating much. To my shock, when I weighed myself after the 10 days I had gained 3 pounds! How is that possible?
Avatar f tn I called my doctor today and the nurse told me the reason for the 150 mg was that my family doctor wanted to help me with extra weight loss and thought this might do the trick. I asked about Cymbalta as I am taking 60 mg and he increased it to 120 mg, sort of nervous about this as it is designed at high doses for people with pain. That isn't me. We will see. The endocrinologist indicated my doctor had me in hyperthyroidism.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking 60 mg of Cymbalta. Not really for depression, but for stress and sensory issues. It totally has helped me handle stress in a normal way. I also haven't had any panic attacks since being on it. Another reason I like Cymbalta. i have not had any weight gain. Some meds can make you gain weight. Though I think meds act differently on different people. So probably the only way to figure out if it will work for you is to try it out for 6 weeks.
Avatar f tn I got rid of the depression on 60 mg, but was a bit dopey and very constipated. Once stabilised 30 mg does me wonders, I live a lovely life now i really do.
Avatar m tn I am taking 60 mg of Cymbalta daily. Can I try l tyrosine for a couple of months to help lost weight and firm up?
Panda I have been on Cymbalta (60 mg) for over two years for treatment of fibromyalgia/depression/anxiety. I recently went down to 40 mg, and after two days was a basket case. Constant brain zaps, a feeling like my entire brain was bruised, severe body aches, increased anxiety and agitation/aggression (which to me was the most frightening). I went back up to 60 mg. Four days later, I am still experiencing the bruised brain feeling and anxiety.
Avatar f tn so can i take 20 mg of paxil er day and 60 mg of cymbalta and i also have diabeties so the cymbalta helps the place od lyrica because i cant afford lyrica so can i stay on both im very very very depressed
Avatar n tn I have been taking Cymbalta for about 2 months now, 1 month at 30 mg and upped it to 60 mg about a month ago. I have noticed that I am feeling much better mood-wise, my pain is not as bad, motivation is better, etc., however, I have been craving food like mad. I am overweight to begin with, but ate pretty healthy before I started the Cymbalta. Now I have these horrible cravings for sugars/breads, etc. all foods I never ate before.
1042487 tn?1275279899 cymbalta 60 mg + melatonin 10 mg. I am not sure because I slept 3 hours last night or there were any interactions. I bit worse than sleepy; my screen looks tilted to the left and some disorientation. Hope it goes away soon.
Avatar n tn So do I need to have my Cymbalta adjusted since I take 200 mg daily of Celebrex? I am not on the 60 mg of Cymbalta. I decided to take it for 2 reasons- 1 want my pain to go away and why not at least try it and 2 maybe it will relieve some of my depression (for which I am seeing a counselor) and I guess 3 since my husband doesn't seem to want to really try as much as in the past to have children what can it hurt I thought. THank you for your comments.
Avatar n tn wanted me to try low dose Cymbalta for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and did not have the 30 mg samples so i was given the 60 mg with instructions to empty the capsules into food, as this would reduce the dose by approximately half. I became very ill with vomiting and severe diarreah. I was up all night running to the bathroom and was concerned when i looked up information on cymbalta that said not to open capsules.
Avatar f tn t feel as upbeat as I did normally so we added another 60 mg Cymbalta. I stay up very late and sleep very late which is terrible but I don't have a job so I have no reason to go out and I don't feel like doing a thing. I am back in the Black Hole of depression. I am still not like I was on Zoloft so now I'm wondering if I should add Zoloft to my Cymbalta to pull myself out of this Black Hole of immobility.
Avatar m tn In clinical trials of Cymbalta, tremor was not reported at the 20 mg per day dose, but with 60 mg per day or 60 mg twice daily the incidence of tremor was 1% and 5% of the participants respectively. Frequent neurological side effects of Wellbutrin include tremor. The incidence of tremor is high; roughly 20% of patients reported tremor during clinical trials , compared to about 8% taking a placebo.
Avatar f tn Together they feel my symptoms can be managed by taking anti anxiety med (Cymbalta 30 mg/day then up to 60 mg/day after one week) and Belviq (2 x per day) to get the weight off that I have gained since feeling this way. I am sitting on both scripts, terrified to take either meds. What am I missing here? I feel awful. I started talking with a Nutritionist and she said to try grain & gluten free to help with the Hashi symptoms.
Avatar f tn Hi there, Concerta is quite well known to cause weight loss, common complaints of appetite being suppressed, not being hungry, feeling full etc occur in all ages and gender. Significant weight loss is probably one of the more common reasons for a change in medication, so i would definitely recommend discussing your weight loss concerns with your prescribing dr.

Avatar f tn My doctor started me on 30 Mg of cymbalta which has progressed to 60 mg per day. I think it has helped but am experiencing some dizziness. Is it a drug interaction?
Avatar n tn two weeks after i had started the topamax i went on cymbalta 30 mg the first week then 60 mg the second, but i had to stop it cause quite honestly all that medication does is mess your body up. my whole digestive track and stomach has been messed up since, i started with constipation, now i have diarrhea often, stomach cramps, and loss of appetite from the topamax. i started smoking weed this year, and its the only thing that helps me eat and maintain my weight.
Avatar m tn I've been on Cymbalta for probably 7 years. I'm at the 90 mg dose once a day I was thinking of asking Dr. To up it or change it to something where I won't gain weight or helps in weight loss.
9246447 tn?1402597019 I am a 25 year old female with some issues. I have been unable to eat more than 500 calories in a day for the past 4 days. If I eat more than that I get nausea and vomit. I have lost 6 lbs in the past 2 to 3 days and it still continues. I also have chronic fatigue. I am tired all the time. Not sure if it's related to the loss of appetite but it could be. I also have headache's, probably from loss of appetite, and dizzy spells.
420308 tn?1203041262 5mg of Effexor ER, 200mg of Lamictal, 60 mg of Buspar, 1200 mg of Neurontin, 600mg of Seroquel and .5 mg of Xanax ER as needed. I feel better than I ever had in my life, but the only problem I have now is excessive weight gain--about 30 lbs. I am currently 5'7 and 188 lbs. I want to get my weight down to 160 lbs. As a New Year's resolution I have been working out between 30-60 minutes 5 days a week combining cardio and weight training.
Business woman1 More specifically, Cymbalta (120 mg) and Saphris 30 mg. I was removed off of saphris last october, and was put on wellbutrin 150mg and had a TERRIBLE reaction to it. now think I am experiencing side effects that (in my opinion) appear to look like adrenal problems (fatigue, unneccesary anxiety, muscle spasms/twitching, problems walkng, craving sugars etc.
