I'm living it right now and to be honest, I am aware of 5 to 7 steps or stages of the grief process, but they don't matter, because you survive one day at a time ....baby steps, and not time frame, since everyone heals at their own pace. It's been 2 years for me and I do feel better, but I am not yet completely healed...it takes a long time.

I just went in for a transvaginal ultrasound yesterday (11/10) and the tech told me that I was 5 weeks and 5 days. She said she could see the sac and the yolk sac, but no baby yet. She told me this is normal and that the doctor will schedule me for another one in about 1.5 weeks (she did). I am worried and scared to death. I'm 24 and both my husband and I are very excited about having our first child. Please help put my mind at ease. Thank you in advance for any replies.

I don't know the sex of my baby but was going to buy a stroller that is giraffe print or zebra. but if its a boy is it too girly. the room is done in animal theme. :) I wish I knew what it was.

Please keep in mind that this varies according to the location of the metastisis. I personally know of survivors of many years with mets to the bone. It would also depend on your Mother's general health and what treatment will be prescribed. My father is in the final stages of dementia. He can no longer hold anything or walk. He quit speaking about 4 years ago. I just was recently told that he no longer chews. This has been for about 6 weeks. His food is thickened so he can swallow it. He has lost about 20 pounds in 5 months. His albumin level is 2.7, and 2.5 is sometimes the criteria for hospice care. My question is, how much longer before he loses his ability to swallow?

I think there are different stages of addiction..the early stages which are most easily broken and then the last stages where one has to do or die. Actually as i type I realize that one always has to do or die because if one does not stop in the early stages it can progress to a much more difficult time and a more difficult recovery.

Hi damosaab the uk stages liver fibrosis on the ishak scale which runs 0-6, stages 5 and 6 of which are classed as cirrhosis, I think the us. uses metavir for grading not sure how it runs but cirrhosis occurs at a score of 4 I think.If youre at stage 3 youre not into a cirrhosis diagnosis yet.

I am so very sorry about your little dog's passing. I obviously can't tell you what the cause of his death was. Only a necropsy (autopsy) could determine that. I am making an educated guess however, as when you said he had belly contractions, this reminded me of my own dear dog who passed from hemangiosarcoma. She had a massive internal bleed in her last few hours, and kept contracting her belly muscles. I know this was an instinct to try to get something out of her insides.
