m 32 and have been steadily gaining weight since then but this last year has been the worst. I never used to diet but now that I'm trying to eat better it's having no effect. im not on any medication but the only reason for the surgery is the growth of the nodules , having more than doubled in size in 4 years. i dont have any discomfort or symptoms but i did noticr after my biopsies that my throat felt like it had more room almost, i dont know how to describe it. if my nodules are causing compression or making my throat "crowded" so to speak i havent notices / dont think i would recognize the difference..

I last had an hiv exam in 2008, since then I have had one sexual partner(unprotected sex 3 times). I have no reason to conclude she is in a high risk group such as bi-sexual or a drug user. I was just diagnosed with hyperthyroid. The dr. gave me a choice of rai treatment, or taking trapazole for a year. My first instinct was that taking a pill for a year was better than killing off my thyroid altogether. But I've read about some major side effects of trapazole and now I'm not sure what to do. The biopsy doesn't sound too disimilar to mine in 2008.
