I am a 25 year old male. About 30 months ago I fell down a flight of metal stairs, this knocked me out and when I woke up I was in a crumpled heap on the floor. Since then I have had excruciating pain in my left leg and back. After my accident I was in the ICU for 6 days and the did more tests then I could count. When they did a back MRI they found a cyst (T6-T10) it is approximately 4-6mm wide. That was the only neurological problem found.
I have a 12 year old son. He has been vomiting intermittently for the past year. He was better during the summer months but as I write (March) has been sick and getting worse for three months.
He has has an MRI, allergy tests, bacterial tests and a scan to check that there is no internal blockage etc. ALL negative. He isn't stressed (apart from by being ill).
Sickness generally occurs at night, he has bouts of severe vomiting even if there is nothing in his stomach.
Hi, I'm a 49 year old female and have suffered ibs and acid reflux which I have meds for. So I have on and off diarreah and nausea at times. But nothing too severe. Last night for example, I had eaten a lamb roast about 5.30..I was awake until 12am, then I went to sleep, I then woke up suddenly at 3.30am sweating and with the feeling of wanting to vomit, I didn't really have bad nausea with it though. I went to the bathroom and did pass some stools.
70 year old trim guy, mitral valve leak, heart disease, but active and generally appearing in good health. Easy to fall asleep at night, but awake several times (prostate) during the night. Have difficulty getting back to sleep, as I feel this need to belch, and am aware of digestion (sometimes some gas) in the intestinal tract. Very uncomfortable. If I get up for 15 minutes or so, suck on a menthol tablet, I can sometimes then get back to sleep. Good diet, lots of fiber.
I have a 12 year old and a 13 year old that are having sleeping problems. They go thru phases where they are afraid to sleep alone. They are afraid of aliens and being kidnapped. Usually, after an hour or two of trying (and suffering) they break down and ask to sleep on our floor.
Should we just make them sleep alone? I am afraid they will lay in bed for hours shaking in their beds and not getting a good nights sleep.
Should we just let them sleep on our floor until they grow out of it?
My daughter vomits frequently in the middle of the night (after which she goes back to sleep without any problems). Typically there is a large amount of undigested food. This past summer I took her to see the doctor and he ordered an MRI. We found an arachnoid cyst in the middle cranial fossa. It's fairly small and two neurosurgeons stated that her cyst was not causing the vomiting.
I have a 5 year old and 3 year that has been vomiting off and on for 2 weeks. My daughter would vomit for a day, be fine for several days and then it would start again. My 3 year old would vomit once, be fine the next morning and vomit 5 days later. I don't know what to think. The pediatrician said its viral when I took my daughter a week ago.
Ok i was finally recently diagnosed with GERD after an endoscopy. Iam 20 year old male and 165 pounds so weight is not an issue. They found that i have a hiatial hernia as well as a weak les sphincter. Anyways my GI doctor put me on kapidex after followup. I prefer kapidex to protonix and i was doing pretty good until this morning when i had a random bout of nausea. Luckily i had some phenegren left so i took it and got better.
My 6 year old son (kindergardener) is very intellegent, he is reading at or above 3rd grade level, he performs higher functioning math in his head. He figured out how to bypass parental controls on his nintendo DS and even was able to buy things on his DS using my credit card which required using the security code. (not with my permission of course). But he has no memory at all of an entire day about 2 weeks ago. He had a stomach virus and was vomiting all day with a fever.
My 7 year old daughter, who does not have ADD/ADHD is struggling to fall asleep most nights. We have tried soothing bedtime routines, relaxation techniques, & limiting sweets before bedtime. What are the causes of this insomnia & what are some other ways to deal with this? I am extremely frustrated as she come out of her room multiple times each night.
I am currently a 16 year old female. Recently I have started vomiting after everything I eat or drink, even water. Anywhere from 5 minutes to several hours after I eat I vomit up the entire contents of my stomach. If and when I am able to hold down foods I am miserable. I become dizzy and can almost feel the food in my throat. Physical activities are practically impossible to complete without extreme dizziness or vomiting. I have also experienced a abnormally large amount of gas.
