went to the dr, saw a PA who pushed on my stomach area and i had no pain, now that i'm home there is pain next to my hip bone on the right side and a slight pain in my upper right abdomen, what the heck is this?
The pain feels very similar to muscle soreness, but I can feel the pain even more when I press or squeeze the area around the top of my right hip bone. The pain comes and goes, and I think may be related to a build up of stool, as I may wait days before having a bowel movement and the pain starts to develop, and it gradually eases after a few bowel movements.
I have recently been experiencing right side pain and mentioned it to my GP. He sent me for a CT which confirmed mild appendicitis. Don't have typical appendicitis symptoms other than pain and some nausea. My doc says to get it taken out. I went for a consult with a general surgeon and he said he isn't 100% that's my appendix since I don't have all the acute symptoms. He said there is no such thing as chronic appendicitis and my doc says "oh yes there is". UGH...
re having pain that starts around your belly button, then moves to the right side of your body next to your hip bone, it might be your appendix.
ve been dealing with the pain which remains in the same exact spot just to the left of my right hip bone, and finally it got to be bad enough that I went to a gastroenterologist. I just had a colonoscopy done, and was told that I had redness at my appendiceal opening, and a biopsy was taken (to see if there was inflammation, I believe is what he said).
I'm wondering what that really means to me?
The pain is specifically on my left side, below the ribs, between the last rib and the hip bone. Right there in the fleshy area of the lower abdomen and going downwards towards the hip. But its specifically on my side, not my back or tummy. Its been a week since symptoms started. Symptoms include a constant achy feeling in the area, sharp pains in the area when i lay down or move positions or laugh or cough. I went to the doc after 5 days. He said its just viral gastroenteritis.
For the last five days I have been having pains in my back, kidneys, right side, right side abdominal pain, pain near my belly button, pelvic pain, pain right next to my hip bone, headaches, and nausea. I'm still able to pass gas, and eat, walk and jump without pain, and when my stomach is pushed on there is no pain. I have been to the doctor multiple times for pains like these, I seem to get them each month.
I woke up this morning and I had this minor pain in my lower right abdomen (about an inch above my hip bone) It's not severe or very painful and it doesn't hurt on it's own. I feel a minor dull pain in that area (Occasionally) when i bend over or stretch. When I begin to stretch, it will have a slight pain but when I extend all the way with my arms all the way up, the pain goes away and it feels fine.
To me that is normal, but this morning i woke up with a aching feeling on my right side (almost strait down from arm pit) right above my hip bone. It is not a sharp pain but an aching pain with a lite burning. Like the burning you get when you give a muscle a good workout. It is constant and does not increase with with anything i do. I know this may sound odd but it feels more outside then inside. Any ideas??
I keep getting this sharp pain under neath my right rib cage but to the side right above my hip bone. Its not a constant pain, it comes and when it does it last for about 2secs then goes away and about an hour or so later it reappears. I dont feel bad, nothing, just having these pains. I dont know what to do.
It has been four days, the aching has ceased a bit, the fever comes and goes. But what really has me worried is this unusual very intense pain in my lower back towards the right side extending to my hip and surrounding areas. Could it be kidney problems?
I've had occasional right-sided pelvic pain for years now (4? 5?). Severity varies, but the last one lasted longer and was overall worse. The first instances weren't that bad, just moderate pain, but I could still stand up. The first "severe" case happened around 3-4 years ago, lasted around a day. I had a blood test the next day and the doctor said I had an infection based on my results, said I might have appendicitis after all, except I got better as the day progressed.
He went to doctors and specialists and had various tests done including ultrasound, MRI, bone scan, CAT scan and more xrays. At first he was diagnosed with appendicitis but I requested a 2nd opinion as he had no fever, vomiting or severe stomach pain, they diagnosed him with IBS. His diet was modified but the stomach pains continued and the limp got worse until the middile of March when he had to use crutches to move around.
For the past few days I've had pain right above my hip but its not severe and i don't have any other symptoms but I'm very scared right now because i think i have appendicitis i don't want surgery...my mom who is a nurse said that it cannot be that because the pain i describe isn't severe and that i should lay off the coffee that i drink.
I think my child has appedicitis, but the medical community tells me no. Her pain started really 3 weeks ago, in the center, below her rib cage. The pain then moved to her belly button (about 1 inch to the right and 1 inch down). That was the first trip to the ER (initial blood work, sonogram, rectal exam) - nothing. We followed with additional blood work to rule out colitis, ulcer, crones, etc., and tried some Nexium.
